Dig in and be a part of “green” efforts in Farmington Hills! Come to Rouge Rescue 2008 on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. until noon at the pond in Founders Sports Park located on Eight Mile between Halsted and Farmington Roads.
Every year since 1986, thousands of caring citizens have been part of the hands-on community effort to clean and restore the Rouge River watershed. Do your part and join the fun!
• Plant wildflowers
• Create a natural buffer with native plants along the pond’s edge
• Pick up litter and debris
• Enjoy a free picnic lunch
• Get a free Rouge Rescue t-shirt (first 50 participants to arrive)
